Katie, Kirk and Reagan called us and we met them for breakfast. Later on we met them at Yarmouth High School for a Cape Cod Baseball League ball game. The league is the best of the best of College baseball. We all had a good time especially Reagan. She had John going and met a couple of the players and got to sit on a golf cart. We said our “See you Somewhere’s” and headed home.

We went to the Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster to meet up with Katie, Kirk and our 1 ½ year old niece Reagan. We visited for a while and then headed to the beach. This is the first time Reagan has been at a beach and in sand. She wasn’t sure at first but by the end of the day, she had met some friends and was playing in the sand and water. We had a great day and was glad to be able to meet up.

We are exploring the cape today and headed to Eastman to the Cape Cod Natl Seashore Salt Pond visitors center. We watched a movie about how the Cape was formed and how it’s constantly changing. We checked out the museum and then took a hike.

We hiked the 1 ½ mile Nauset Marsh Trail. It went along a salt pond and then up to an overlook of the Atlantic. Now we drove up to the Wellfleet part of the park. We had a nice picnic lunch and then John did a 4 ½ mile hike along the bluffs and then down to the beach. Along the way he saw lots of birds and a lot of seals. He was able to wade out and get pretty close to them. When he got back we took a drive to another overlook and then a short hike down to the bay. We saw more seals hanging out.

We stopped at golf bar for a beer and to overlook the bay. The tide was going out and the boats were sitting on the ground. We decided to head back to Sand Dollar Bar and Grill. It’s a comfortable place with live music, good drinks and food. Sean Brennan was playing guitar and singing. He played harmonica on a couple songs. We had some cocktails, tried the stuffed Quahog Clam and had a really good lobster roll.

We have a short travel day to Dennis Port MA today. Only about 35 miles. We can’t check in until noon so we relaxed in the morning. We were all set up in a pull thru site #20 at Campers Haven RV Resort by 1230pm.
The great thing about this park is it’s across the street from a nice private beach only for our park. So off we went with our wagon and beach stuff. We got wet but didn’t go all the way in. The water is nice but to cold for us. We got some sun and did some reading and relaxing.
Now it’s time to regroup. We first went to the Sand Dollar Bar. It was packed and we found a place at the bar. They had live music and we had a couple cocktails. Now we moseyed next door to Chapins restaurant. They were supposed to have music, but didn’t. We met a couple at the bar and they were interested in our gypsy lifestyle. We had a couple cocktails here and then headed home.
