John and Sandy's RV Adventure Journal

Illinois

Antioch, IL

We have our fireplace cranking and we are still cold. Its sunny but only 55 degrees and windy. I worked on re organizing our music today and then we got ready for dinner. We headed out with Jim D, Sandy, Rich, Sam, Jackie and Marty for Mad Dan’s in Twin Lakes WI. Tonight’s special is you can eat king crab legs. Marty had ribs and the rest of us had the crab legs. They were excellent and kept coming. Nice big ones with lots of meat. When we got back, Sandy, Rich, John and I had a nightcap at Hotel California and Sheila stopped by for a few minutes.

Another cold morning, only 48 degrees. We know 48 isn’t bad, but we are not used to it anymore. We hung around the rig in the morning and then headed to JJ Blinkers to get costumes for Fantasy Fest. We are doing Day of the Dead theme. It sunny and warmer so I worked on the rigs windows and screens and John detailed the inside of the truck. Now it’s dinner time and then Survivor!! Our Sugarloaf Key friend Paul is on it so we wish him luck!!

Its a cold morning, only 49 degrees. We got our fireplace going and stayed inside for coffee. No golf today because of cold and windy conditions. So we did some shopping and more indoor projects to hit the road.

Today is sunny, windy and cold. Around 62 degrees. John did some indoor projects and I headed to laundry. I had some computer issues I had to take care of. Later, Sandy, John and I headed to the Port of Blarney. Rich and Paul are working on Sandy and Rich’s boat so we sat in the bar and had some soup and cocktails. Rich and Paul joined us and then we were going to head home. On the way, the 3 of us decided to go to the Hideout for a couple cocktails. We played some video games and watched the beginning of the presidential debates.
