John and I headed to Boston’s OTB again to bet on some races. Patti and Jeff met us for a couple hours and then we went to their condo for drinks. We listened to music and Jeff and I talked about a karaoke playlist. We walked to Fibber Magee’s Irish Pub for dinner.
Patti and Jeff are waiting for movers. We are going to help them once the furniture gets moved. So while we were waiting, we headed to Boston’s for some off track betting. Then we headed to Patti and Jeff’s for a while to help them out. We are still both fighting this cold, so we headed home and took it easy.
Today we were slugs. We did lots of reading. Patti and Jeff came over for some cocktails and snacks and then the four of us headed to Mad Dog Grill for dinner.
Chicago Sandy is itching for a Blues Jam. I found one at the Eldorado Bar. We got there early to sign up and met Taffy from the Phoenix Blues Society. We had originally met her at Desert Eagle Brewery. We also met Hooter, which is the host. Hooter is from the Hooter Casters band that I played with 3 of them at Desert Eagle Brewing Co.
We also met Mike on guitar, Dan on guitar, Doug on vocals, Jigi on vocals and harp, and Ron on video. Hooter an Mike looked very familiar. After talking to them, we realized we had played together at Goats Head Saloon blues jam 4 years ago. Chicago Sandy got to play a set. There were lots of artist’s at Eldorado. After each set Hooter changes out every performer. So it’s like a brand new band each set. There were 3 other harp players, so we got to listen to lot’s of great music.
