Today is our pre-departure and domestic day.
We found wine, vodka and moonshine tasting. We headed to Deep Water Vineyard and Firefly distillery. They share the same property about 20 miles from us. We started out with wine tasting. We sampled 5 different wines. Now we crossed the courtyard to Firefly. Here we could sample 6 items from 17 different selections. Vodka, moonshine, whiskey, rum, liqueurs are the categories. We stayed with basically vodka and moonshine. It’s a beautiful day and they have a 2 piece band playing in the courtyard. We got a bottle of wine and relaxed outside listening to music. On the way home, we stopped at the Tattooed Moose for dinner and listen to more music.
We have a full day today. We went to visit Magnolia Plantation. In addition to walking the extensive beautiful gardens, we chose 3 tours. The nature trolley, the nature rice-field boat tour and the slavery to freedom cabin tour. They also have a petting zoo. There were deer, peacocks just roaming around. We had a nice day and learned a lot of history about growing rice, the civil war, slavery and how Magnolia Plantation was part of all of this.
This morning is dry but cool. Only 64 degrees. Our park has a 9 hole Frisbee/Disc Golf Course. Some of it is by a small lake. We saw some large cranes and herons. We hung around our rv and did some reading. Tonight we headed back to Parson Jacks for open mic. Chris is the host and we met Bob and Jake. Chicago Sandy got to play a couple songs with Jake on vocals and guitar, Bob on bass and another person on beatbox.
