John and Sandy's RV Adventure Journal

Cedar City, UT

It’s a nice morning to enjoy our coffee outside. There are a few clouds and around 65 degrees. This morning we did some research on our upcoming travel plans.
Candy and Traci came by early afternoon and we all headed up to Kolob Reservoir to visit with Eva at her family’s cabin. A couple nieces and nephew were there too, Katie, Becky and Josh. We took a short hike up to the summit and was able to overlook the reservoir and the 5 fingers at Zion Natl Park.
Now we had some snacks, which Katie loved to make, a few cocktails and played Horseshoes, and volleyball. Eva has a few hummingbird feeders and they were fighting for the nectar. Eva made burgers from her family’s cow’s on the cool griddle they have in the cabin and Becky and I made a couple of lincoln log homes. Becky’s was really good, mine, not so much. Candy dug up a couple small trees to take back and plant in their yard here.
After a great day, great food and great friends, we headed back down the mountain. We didn’t want to be driving the winding steep gravel roads at night. It was perfect time to see deer and we saw a lot. We even saw a mama with some babies up on a hillside. When Candy, Traci, John and I got back, we had some ice cream cones and sat outside at the KOA patio and enjoyed the full moon.
