Fredricksburg VA – Lake Anna St. Park

We were up and on the by 8am. We traveled about 200 miles to Lake Anna State Park in Virginia. We got set up in a nice pull thru spot and then took a 2 mile hike to the visitors center and beach area to check it out. We were surprised. By our campsite is was real quite and very few people. The beach area was packed with Sunday Funday people. We talked to a ranger and like we expected, they said it would be really quite during the week. When we got back, we did some reading and relaxing.

Wake Forest NC – Falls Lake St. Park

Nicer morning. It’s about 70 now and we have a heat wave coming. We are exploring Durham today and Sarah P Duke Gardens which is part of Duke University in Durham. The gardens are so nice and huge. We also saw lots of different birds. We took a walk around a small part of the university. We would definitely recommend a visit here.
