Sugarloaf Key FL

John was up and out by 615am this morning for his first fishing day since we’ve been back. He was back by 930am with his limit. He had 5 mangroves and 2 jacks. One mangrove was 20 inches and another was 18 inches. We had happy hour in our yard listening to music and watching our nature window.

Today John and I were up at 7am and at Delis’s at 815am. We were heading out fishing with Delis and his friend Dennis on Delis boat. We departed over at Hurricane Hole and headed offshore Key West. It’s a perfect day to be on the water. Sunny with a slight breeze. Between the four of us we caught 40 keeper of mostly lane snappers, a grouper, yellow tail, mangrove and mackerel. However we had tons of action and all together we caught over 100 fish. When we got back around 430pm, John and Delis cleaned them. We had a great time. Thanks Delis!

John and Larry were out fishing and caught their limit again. I headed up for coffee, donuts and visiting. We had 12 people for horseshoes. John and I both ended up with 3 ringers. Now it’s happy hour in our yard with Debi. We kidnapped her and Larry and walked to KOA for more happy hour and then bingo. We didn’t win but we had a great time.

More fishing and limiting out. They are saving fish now for another fish fry. Steve, Sue and Peggy came by and we headed to Benihana’s for my birthday. They brought a bottle of champagne for a toast before we left and when we got back Debi and Larry joined us in the yard for an after dinner cocktail.
