Happy New Year Day! We enjoyed coffee and the newspaper outside with 73 degrees temps while watching our nature window. We took a nice walkabout around the lake and through the park wishing everyone Happy New Year. We saw Jimmy the Iguana hangin out and relaxing. John and Larry had to get their bait traps and then John headed for a 6 mile walkabout. I was on a mission to update my pics and journal from last night.

It is Monday, so that means Mangrove Mama’s for happy hour. We walked to Mangroves and collected Linda along the way. We met Debi, Craig, Douglas, Chuck and Richard there. Brad Shudduck was playing guitar and singing tonight. We had some cocktails and headed home early.

Happy New Years Eve. John and Larry were up early for the last 2017 fishing day. We had an easy day getting ready for tonight. Richard drove Linda, John and I to Looe Key for Haywire Band. Dave ended up in the hospital and couldn’t be there. We had a lot in our group. It was a little cool so we did dress warm. We all had a great time. There was at least 29 of us in our group. John and I, Richard, Linda, Joy, Jason, Peggy, Craig, Debi, Pete, Tina, Debbie H, Maddie, Char, Ben, Steve, Sue, Kirk, Betty, Chuck, Douglas, Mike, Jen, Steven, Linda, Pat, Caroline, Mike, and Liz. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

We took a drive up to Big Pine for some supplies and now John is ready for a big walkabout. While he did his 6 miles burned out bridge walk, I enjoyed sitting outside and practicing harmonica and ukulele. After he ran bait traps we were going to relax in our yard, but we decided to corrupt people and kidnapped Linda and Richard and headed to Geiger Key for cocktails and a beautiful sunset. Now a stop at Bobalu’s in their new back patio for some music from Big Daddy Rich. Chuck and Douglas came by and it was another rough night in the keys.

A perfect after Christmas day. We went to the pool to get some rays, reading and relaxing. Now it’s time to regroup and head to Looe Key Tiki Bar for Jam Night and taco Tuesday. It’s the first time there will be the full jam band since Irma. Tony, Marc, Rob Garza and Brian. It started out slow but a lot of artists arrived. Chicago Sandy got to jam with the jam band, Kenny (Skinny White Boy), Dave Henchen, Popeye, Mike V, Chris on trombone and others. We had a great Lazy Lakes group of 14. As always we had a great time.
