Today we are at sea. John and I enjoyed a rainbow while having coffee on our balcony. Our room is a handicapped room which NCL assigned us. We love it. It’s very big and spacious. We met Patti and Jeff at Taste the main dining room for breakfast. We got out new friend and server, Danilo. He already takes great care of us. Now we headed to the pool for some rays and relaxation. We hung out in the hot tub for a while and then needed a break so we had a little casino time. Martini’s at Shakers Martini Bar – Karaoke at Bliss Lounge where Jeff sang a couple songs and Chicago Sandy played harmonica and sang Folsom Prison with another cruiser. Chicago Sandy also performed Folsom Prison at Bliss with Ben on guitar. We had some casino time and stopped at O’Sheehan’s Irish pub for a snack.
Today we arrived at Great Stirrup Caye a private island in the Bahamas. We headed ashore for a beach day. The sun, temperature and water were perfect. We took a walk to check out the local vendors, drinks, food and photo opportunities. Back at the ship, we re-grouped and headed to “Taste” one of the main dining rooms on the ship. Our server was Danilo from the Philippines. Danilo took great care of us. Now we headed to the back (aft) of the ship to Spice H2O for the “Southern Drawl Band Gone with the wind kickoff party. It was a little cool and windy, but nothing that a little dancing and cocktails wouldn’t help. Pete, Kathy, Jeff, Patti, John and I were hanging out and met more friends, Scott, Laurie, Mo, Greg and more.
Today is our 39th anniversary. We are sailing away for 7 nights aboard the NCL Epic with the Southern Drawl Band on “Another Voyage in Paradise”. We took the shuttle to our ship. Our Balcony handicapped cabin # 10275 is not yet ready. Patti, Jeff, John and I, the 4 amigos, stopped at Maltings Whiskey Bar for a cocktail to check out how our drink package worked. Now we checked out the ship and different things it has to offer. We got in our cabin, unpacked, re-grouped and met up at Spice H2O on the back (aft) of the ship outside deck 15 while sailing away. Patti was done for the day so Jeff, John and I headed to the casino, then the Cavern Club for rock music with Siglo. After closing the Cavern Club, Jeff, John and I moved to Headliners to see Howl at the Moon Dueling Pianos. Jeff and John needed a late night snack so we went to O’Sheehan’s Irish Pub. Now we are all done. We had a great day to a great start of a fun cruise.
