Magic is not feeling well today. She has never been like this before. We hope she’s ok. We had coffee and then took a walk around the park and out to the point. We saw Biker Tom and Sally on our walked and caught up on stuff. Now more getting stuff organized. We will be here 3 months and like to get everything nice, and then we can party. Now we are relaxing and doing some reading. We took a walk and headed to Rosie’s Bar next to our park. A few friends, Danny, John, Oramay, Joel and Brenda were there. We had some drinks and played a few slots. We left and walked over by Sam and Jackies. Mike and Katie stopped by. I borrowed a blanket because it was getting cold. Sam and Jackie let us use the Taxi and we went back and changed into warm clothes and we met up at Rosie’s again. We had a fun time and ended up doing a couple shots.
We were out early and at Black Diamond RV. We are having the brakes checked and greased. We walked over and had breakfast at Ihop. Black Diamond was done in about an hour. They were very thorough and we would recommend them. We were on the road by 11am. We have a long day about 450 miles. We made it to Grass Lake Marina and RV Park in Antioch about 6pm. We got set up, had a cocktail, saw a couple friends and had an early evening.
Today is our pre-departure day. We decided to head out Tuesday instead of Wednesday. Paul joined us for coffee outside and we watched Magic watch a chipmunk eating bird seed by our rig. The chipmunk was a few inches away and Magic just watched him. Now it’s on to our projects. We headed out to meet our niece Ady and her fiance Ivan for dinner at La Pesa in Palatine. We decided not to stay for their wedding in a couple weeks but it was great to be able to spend quality time with them at dinner. We stopped for a nightcap of wine at Hotel California with Rich, Sandy and Paul.
Today is still overcast and a few really light sprinkles. We did sit outside under the overhang and then took a walkabout. Today is closing day for Blarney Island and “Drink us Dry”. As we were getting ready to go on Paul and Chris’s boat, we told our friends we were heading out on Wednesday. None of them were happy but at least we told them and didn’t just leave. So Paul, Marty, Sandy, Rich, Sam, Jackie, John and I headed to Blarneys. We met Huddy there and had a great Blarney closing day. When we got home we stopped at Hotel California for a bit.
