John and Sandy's RV Adventure Journal

Today is still cool and overcast. That’s ok, it’s project day. The afternoon turned out beautiful and we took a golf cart ride with Rich and Sandy to the point. We ended up on their deck with Jim and Marty. After a few cocktails, we all headed to the Landings Bar next door for burgers, beers and to watch the Blackhawks game.

After our party party weekend. Today we are catching up on projects and still learning about our new truck and RV. Tonight we headed to Cuda’s Bar for a Tuesday blues jam. Gunner, Ivy, JB Richie and Dave are the core band. It’s all blues so that was pretty cool. Chicago Sandy got to jam with some great players and also met Buzz another wonderful harp player. Sandy, Rich, Paul and Jim came up to hear Chicago Sandy jamming.

Our buddy Mark stayed over last night and this morning we were all moving slowly. A few of us went to the Landings next door for breakfast and to celebrate Jim Duffy’s birthday. Our friends, Jim and Diane came by early afternoon and we had some cocktails and hung out in our yard. Other camper friends stopped by. Jim Duffy is having a potluck by his place around 5pm, so Jim and Di decided to head home and we headed to Jim’s. Like any potluck, there was lots of food. We had birthday cake and around sunset headed home to ground ourselves.

We took our morning walk and visited along the way. Now it’s time to make stuff for today’s turkey fry at Sam and Jackie’s and tomorrows party at Jims. Right now it’s warm around 75 but drizzling. That’s ok, later, rain or shine we’ll be partying at Sam and Jackie’s. The girls had the tiki bar open and it was raining off and on, but nobody cared. The turkeys and all the fixins turned out great. Our buddy Mark showed up and we all had a great time. We had our rain ponchos so we were dry. Around 1am, Mark, John and I stopped at Rich and Sandy’s for a nightcap. Not that we needed it, but we did. Then we grounded ourselves.
