John and Sandy's RV Adventure Journal

Dennisport, MA

We have a short travel day to Dennis Port MA today. Only about 35 miles. We can’t check in until noon so we relaxed in the morning. We were all set up in a pull thru site #20 at Campers Haven RV Resort by 1230pm.
The great thing about this park is it’s across the street from a nice private beach only for our park. So off we went with our wagon and beach stuff. We got wet but didn’t go all the way in. The water is nice but to cold for us. We got some sun and did some reading and relaxing.
Now it’s time to regroup. We first went to the Sand Dollar Bar. It was packed and we found a place at the bar. They had live music and we had a couple cocktails. Now we moseyed next door to Chapins restaurant. They were supposed to have music, but didn’t. We met a couple at the bar and they were interested in our gypsy lifestyle. We had a couple cocktails here and then headed home.

Plymouth, MA

We set the alarm and was on the road by 7am. We drove to Falmouth and caught the 9am Island Queen Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. We arrived Oak Bluff and got a day unlimited bus pass. We started by heading to the furthest point about 20 miles away to Aquinnah.
We passed through the small towns of West Tisbury and Chilmark along the way. When we arrived in Aquinnah, we took a short hike to the Gay Head Lighthouse and the overlooks to the Gay Head Cliffs. Now we hopped the bus and went to Tisbury (also known as Vineyard Haven). We walked along the beach and through the town. Back on the bus to Oak Bluff. We walked through town and the waterfront. The return ferry at 345p was packed. The ferry and public bus worked out great for us. We had a good time in Martha’s Vineyard.
Now we met Ted and Janice for dinner at Golden Sails Chinese restaurant in Falmouth.
