Sugarloaf Key, FL – 29Jun19 – Afterthawt at Looe Key Tiki

John was going fishing early but rain and lightning changed his mind. Once it passed we enjoyed coffee and the paper outside. We chatted with our neighbors Patti and Ken and then John did a 12 mile bike ride. A few projects, some reading and guitar practice and then off to Looe Key Tiki. The AfterThawt Band with Bo Fodor, Popeye, Wavy Dave and Kenny James is playing tonight. Chicago Sandy was invited up for a few songs and also sang Folsom Prison.

Sugarloaf Key, FL – 18Jun19 – Last Jam Band jam night at Looe Key Tiki

We were up early and bike riding by 830am. I went 6.5 miles and John did 12 miles. Now some reading and guitar practice. Tonight we are heading to Looe Key Tiki for Jam Night with the Taco Jam Band, Tony Napoli, Marc Davis, Doug Allan and Glen Faast. They have been doing this gig for 10 years and tonight’s the last night here for them. Another artist friend, Ray West is taking over. We will miss Tony and the gang. They always took care of me and pushed me when I needed it. Chicago Sandy played a lot tonight and did sing Last Dance for Mary Jane. Linda, Tom, Joy, Dave Henschen and lots of others came out.
